Dishmum Copyright Policy
1. Copyright Ownership
All original material published on dishmum.com (the “Site”) is the exclusive property of Dishmum, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Copyright in the United States and other jurisdictions automatically vests in the creator of an original work the moment it is fixed in a tangible medium. This includes, but is not limited to:
- • Recipes, including ingredient lists, preparation steps, cooking tips, and variations;
- • Photographs, illustrations, and graphics that depict food, cooking processes, or related subjects;
- • Written articles, blog posts, reviews, user‑generated comments, and any editorial content;
- • Site design, layout, CSS, JavaScript, and any proprietary code that powers the user experience.
Dishmum retains all exclusive rights granted under international copyright law, including the right to reproduce, distribute, display, perform, and create derivative works. No portion of the Site may be used for commercial purposes without a written license from Dishmum.
2. Permitted Use
Dishmum encourages the sharing of culinary inspiration while protecting the rights of its creators. The following uses are expressly permitted without prior written consent:
- Link Sharing: You may copy and share the URL of any page, recipe, or article on the Site via email, social media, forums, or any other medium, provided the link leads directly back to the original content on dishmum.com.
- Personal Printing: You may print a single copy of any recipe, image, or article for personal, non‑commercial use (e.g., a kitchen reference). Printed copies must not be sold, distributed, or otherwise made available to third parties.
- Excerpt for Commentary: You may quote short excerpts (no more than 150 words or a single image) within a review, critique, or scholarly work, provided proper attribution is given (see Section 5).
All permitted uses must retain the original copyright notice and a link back to the source page.
3. Prohibited Use
